Austin's baptism

Austin was baptized on 7/2/10. He is now a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. He was so excited to be baptized and especially because his daddy did the baptism and he was able to receive the Holy Ghost. He felt that it was very important to have that so that he can get help when he needs it to make the right decisions. He got up in church and bore his testimony this past sunday, he read his journal entry about his baptism memories, I of course cried. It is a wonderful feeling to walk in your child's room to tuck him in and see that he is saying his prayers. Its a good feeling when you struggle each day to know whether you are doing a good job, & then you see that and think, I am doing something ok. He is praying, not after I ask him, but on his own he is talking God and is gaining his own relationship with him. I did fail to get him a set of scriptures for the baptism as it snuck up on me, however he enjoys going to check some out of the library each church day! He got a new tie and a CTR( chose the right) bracelet. He didn't even complain about going to church this past week!( that's been a ongoing struggle)

Austin turns 8

Austin turned 8. I can't beleive that its been that long since Jason and I became parents. It feels like only a few moments ago. He is turning into such a wonderful young man. He is caring and loves to read quietly, but also to watch wresteling and use the couch as a wrestling ring. He is quite the talker and can make even me tired! He loves his sisters and will play with them for hours, but is quick to yell at them to "GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Sometimes one just needs a little quiet. He still loves to snuggle(still) and can be polite to others when he choses to. He adores his daddy and has taken to hanging out in the garage and running quick errands for Jason to "help." He will dry the dishes and does alot of chores and helping things without complaining. He can also be quite the complainer. He has decided that he LOVES fishing and is quite good at it. Although he can't sit too still at home, he can sit all day with James and Jason if he is fishing and he usually catches alot of fish. He has found music and listens to it and watched videos on utube. Gpa Shane gave him a guitar and he is anxious to learn to play it. He wants to be a WWE wrestler or a rock star when he grows up!

tantrums

Megan can be so funny. She was really mad that she couldnt have something and she actually pouted like this for over an hour. We were at Austin's soccer game. These pictures will be priceless when she is older. She has a serious stubborn streak.
